What is it about these neat little iPhone devices that are outdated technology when they hit the stores, that makes people pitch tents in anticipation of getting one?
It might not make sense to people that actually understand technology as to why people can’t resist the iPhone. To put it in simple terms, it’s just hype, and you have got to give it to Jobs rotting corpse he really did leave a legacy in physiological marketing tactics.
In an economy that has seen some pretty bad things happen to everyday Americans, why do we still see people fork out for a device that at the end of the day doesn’t do jack squat more than a Nokia or a Samsung, in fact it does far less. A possible reason might be likened to people that still drive large SUV 4x4 trucks to the supermarket just to get milk.
Americans are so worried about image and what other people think of them that they are making quick retarded decisions based on what is going to improve their personal image the greatest. All the while, not knowing that no one really cares what type of car or phone they own.
You know which kind of people I am talking about, the ones that you go out for dinner with and they spend the whole time looking at their phone.
Ask a person, what cell phone do you have? If they answer iphone, a follow-up question like why the iPhone? You'll find they will struggle to give you reason that they choose to get one over another make of phone, constantly reference things like oh Jenny has one or everyone has one.
So are iPhone owners retarded? No, it is just the consumer age we live in, and people don’t care about real-life issues or what they believe, it is all about stuff they own. (Or what the bank owns in their name)
When we were kid's peer pressure was a big thing, clothing and other trends, but you sort of grow out of that right... well that's what I thought, it turns out that adults are worse than kids in western countries.
More than the technical aspects of the Apple iPhones, the most disturbing fact is the phones are made in slave like conditions in China, costing Apple from $12.50 to $30 USD in labor per phone made (1). The product is then passed on to the consumer who has no idea or is willing to ignore these facts when presented with them. iPhone owners may as well condone slavery.
You know what, they are retarded.
