Failed website Digg.com that recently sold for a measly $500K, has had an awful redesigned. This could be forgiven but it gets worse, they also disabled logging into the site via your Digg account. Instead now to use digg.com you HAVE to use a facebook login.
Why is this huge mistake? Well the majority of people that used digg.com, never used facebook because they were smart enough to have nothing to do with a site that has no respect for privacy.
The new design is terrible; it looks like a default theme from a Word Press installation. These changes will most likely alienate loyal dig fans and there will be a shift to other social bookmarking sites that you can still use without having to give into facebookâs evil data collection.
Any company that takes the stance of using the facebook as their only login these days is facing some pretty hard criticism, because it is seen as selling out. So shame on the naive owners of Digg.com, you guys just buried the site forever.
