New Lease Of Life For MeeGo OS

Submitted by Mike on Sun, 07/08/2012

The MeeGo Operating System (Linux based) that was installed on the powerful Nokia N9 has been given a new lease of life after ex-Nokia employees decided to join forces and bring MeeGo back into the market. MeeGo was dropped by Nokia this year in favor of Microsoft’s lame Windows Mobile operating system; this mistake by Nokia made many Nokia fans angry and customers who purchased the N9 smartphones were left speechless.

MeeGo installed on the Nokia N9 was possibly the best phone that was ever produced by Nokia to date. The company that will be bringing MeeGo back to life is called Jolla, this company comprises of engineers and developers who worked on MeeGo with the Nokia N9.
Jolla will be led by MarcDillon in an effort to bring an Operating System that should never have been left, back to its former glory.

We will most likely see MeeGo Tablets in the future aswell. The more mobile Operating Systems the better, because many of us a sick and tired of Apple and Google’s domination of the market. If you haven’t yet seen the Nokia N9 checkout our Nokia N9 Review and unboxing.
