Steve Mann a Professor at University of Toronto was kicked out of a MacDonald’s in Paris France for wearing his cyborg head gear. Steve insists on embarrassing his family in public, which he has been doing now for over 20 years.
I am going to give the guy a break he was simply trying to show his family what a little taste of French culture is like, by taking them to a fine MacDonald's family restaurant.
Seriously, what is the problem if he is recording footage everywhere he goes? The professor claims it doesn’t get stored… with a face that only a mother could love, she might believe you Steve.
The head gear he is wearing that looks like something Corky from ‘Life goes on’ would have invented, and will no doubt change the way we communicate.
Now part of me wishes his head gear was running Windows 95 then he would have something to complain about. According to Steve, after being pushed out on to the Street... 'Some of the parts of me started shutting down at different times ... I’m still online now but a lot is not working.’ (1 Fox)
On a side note it will be interesting to see if the good professor sues Google’s Project Glass for stealing his specs.
You have to give it to the guy, anyone brave enough to travel to the other side of the earth, whilst wearing lasers, webcams and other junk found at Goodwill; this takes courage.
