Windows 8 Epic Fail

I wrote this a response to Why Windows 8 is a whte whale, and I was going to write an article that was the defending Windows 8, but now after using Windows 8 for 4 weeks I have come to the conclusion that this could in fact it’s the worst Windows since Windows Vista. From my recollection I don’t think I have despised an Operating System this much.

My biggest concern is for PC and Laptop manufactures as I think they are going to hurt the most, because they are the ones that have to try to sell this OS on their products.

I have pushed myself to use Windows 8 it and gave it completely the benefit of the doubt, but seriously it has been a challenge using the Metro Interface, I mean it works... and it works very smooth but as a way navigating a PC it isn’t good, it is kind of an insult to use really, everything I use a PC for has become harder to do, it might be more suited to people with special needs given large Brady bunch panels everywhere.

The start menu missing I wasn’t too concerned about, however Metro is deplorable replacement. I did and up paying for the start menu in the form of software called start8, it is a great work around for the Start Menu problem, but it still feels strange knowing it is after market.  I just find it inconceivable that Microsoft hasn’t patch Windows 8 to put the start menu back yet, it might be easier to re-install Windows 7 and get a refund for Windows 8.
