Android Fragmentation And Tech Tabloid

There has been a lot of complaining and moaning by people in the mobile industry trying to create news stories about Android Fragmentation. Now before I continue, the Fragmentation they refer to isn’t about Hard disk file structure and block allocation, which was a massive problem with the FAT file system on Windows OS.

What Android Fragmentation is referring to is the growing list of Android distributions by different manufacturers. This apparently has tabloid tech news reporters on the CBS range of sites worried, but no one else seems to give a crap.

What Happened To Blackberry?

When it comes to business communications RIM/Blackberry is one most well known makers of smartphones that are utilized all over the globe. Well, that is what I might have said back in 2008. In the last four years, we have seen Blackberry go from one of the leaders in Smartphone communications to almost the Atari of Smartphones. RIM last quarter reported a $518 million quarterly loss, so things are not looking good.

New Lease Of Life For MeeGo OS

The MeeGo Operating System (Linux based) that was installed on the powerful Nokia N9 has been given a new lease of life after ex-Nokia employees decided to join forces and bring MeeGo back into the market. MeeGo was dropped by Nokia this year in favor of Microsoft’s lame Windows Mobile operating system; this mistake by Nokia made many Nokia fans angry and customers who purchased the N9 smartphones were left speechless.

Body Glove Phone Cover Review

A quick video review of the Body Glove phone cover on a Samsung Exhibit II, these are a reasonably priced phone covers that will protect your phone from falls on to hard surfaces. This particular phone cover is from Walmart. We are going to review more accessories in the future to try to help people know which ones are good and which ones are just plain rubbish.

Android and the battle with Malware

During the last year, the Android OS has been plagued with Malware, almost gaining a reputation that Microsoft gained with Windows OS on desktop computers during the last few decades. So why is Android being attacked with Malware? This is a good question given that it is based on Linux OS an Operating System that has always been known for not needing anti-malware/Antivirus software.
